Hill Giants

Not all of the Giants fled north after their defeat in the Third Age. Some stayed and refused to give up the war, wandering the Western Foothills in the hopes that they would somehow, someday overcome the Dwarves. After many decades of inbreeding, they’ve become horrid imbeciles, but lost none of their immense physical power. No matter how diligently the Dwarves try, they can never quite manage to stomp these brutes out completely.

Hill Giants look like huge, thickly-built humanoids, standing roughly twice the height of a fully-grown man. They are almost all stupid, with glazed-over faces and confused expression. Unlike Frost Giants, a number of mongrel Hill Giant sub-breeds exist, from the monstrous two-headed ettin (who spend most of their days arguing amongst themselves) to the appropriately-named cyclops. Ogres also descended from Hill Giants, but occur in enough frequency to merit their own entry.

Ryan Says:
Hill Giants are the retarded apes of the Land of Four Wars. They are filled with rage, but they’re too stupid to be a danger en masse. Don’t underestimate them, though. They are strong enough to rip you limb from limb if they decide to.
